Attorney Don C. Meade
In 1984, I set out with my new partner Mark Miller to form a practice devoted to representing working men and women and their unions. Over the 25 years of my law practice, I am proud of the law firm which we have built, with our other partners, to realize that vision. We now have nine attorneys, all accomplished in the various fields of labor law, employment litigation and accidental injury law in which we concentrate and have earned our reputation.
I grew up in the small town of Paintsville in the foothills of eastern Kentucky. I had the good fortune to marry a big city girl and have made Louisville my home for over 30 years, as we raised three children and I built my career. I really enjoy the great variety of people I represent, and consider it an honor to be a part of their world in working through the significant employment and injury issues that bring us together.
In regard to my union practice, much of my time is currently spent representing the Jefferson County Teachers Association (JCTA), along with other local unions and non-profit organizations. I maintain an active Workers Compensation practice for individuals injured on the job. My personal injury practice involves cases of significant injury and loss arising from car and motorcycle accidents, slip and fall negligence cases and Traumatic Brain Injury(TBI) . I am an active litigator in employment rights cases arising from problems related to career disruption from unfair, discriminatory or arbitrary treatment. I also have trained to be an arbitrator and mediator.
I offer initial free consultation and analysis of injury cases. I also provide a one hour review and counseling for employment related problems for $150, to answer questions, determine options and whether the services of an attorney are further necessary to address the issues.
